What we collect
When you take the 2027 Consumer Tax Refund Spending Survey, we collect the answers you provide — including your spending plans, offer preferences, and any optional demographic details (age range, ZIP code, household type) you choose to share. When a business submits a partnership inquiry, we collect the business contact details provided in that form. We never ask for Social Security numbers, tax returns, bank account information, or other sensitive financial details.
How we use responses
Survey responses help us understand consumer interests and develop relevant business partnerships across multiple industries. We analyze responses in aggregate — for example, the percentage of respondents interested in automotive offers — to guide which businesses and campaigns we recruit.
Sharing with participating businesses
General business insights are reported in aggregated, non-identifying form. Individual survey responses are restricted to authorized RefundConnect administrators and are not sold or exposed to businesses without appropriate authorization and a lawful basis. Demographic breakdowns are only reported where sufficient data exists to avoid identifying individuals.
Marketing consent
Taking the survey does not enroll you in marketing communications. Email and text-message marketing each require a separate, explicit opt-in. Every marketing message includes an opt-out mechanism, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Your choices
Survey participation is voluntary, and optional questions are clearly marked. To ask about, correct, or request removal of your information, contact RefundConnect through our About page. We do not promise anonymity; demographic questions are optional so you can control what you share.
Data security and retention
Responses are stored in access-controlled systems. Administrative access to individual responses is limited to authorized administrators. We retain aggregated insights as part of our ongoing consumer research.
